Principal

Kathleen Loker

Kathleen Loker

First and foremost, I want to assure you that my priority as principal is to ensure our students and faculty's safety and well-being. In doing so, we will be able to pursue our shared vision of empowering every NCHS student for a lifetime of success.

As a first-generation college graduate and an IB Program graduate, I deeply believe in the promise of public education and the incredible potential of our students. I launched my career in education with Teach for America as a secondary math teacher. My success in the classroom, as well as leading campus-wide math interventions and an ACT Academy to enhance college readiness, qualified me for a fellowship with Arizona State University and Teach for America for my master's in Educational Leadership.

I bring experience as a former Assistant Principal of Instruction at Maryvale High School and experience with safety and operations as a Teacher on Assignment at Cesar Chavez High School in the Office of Student Success. My teaching experience and instructional leadership have prepared me to lead the Rattler community, and my passion for educational access and equity will drive my leadership every day.
